FAQs
Q. Do you have a list of references?
A. Yes, we can provide a list of references upon request. We've been DJing and performing regular karaoke shows for over 15 years in Desoto County and the surrounding Mid South area. We have references from Regular Shows, Private Parties, Corporate Events, Schools, and more.
Q.Do not hesitate to ask. Is a deposit required and when is final payment due?
A. A $200 non refundable deposit is required with a signed contract to reserve your dat,e (unless you are closer to the date which may require 50% down) The remainder of the first 50% is due 60 days prior to your event. Final payment (50%) is 7 days prior to the date of the event, however to alleviate stress we recommend the final payment be made during your final consultation so that you can fully enjoy your event with no worries. Final consultations are typically set up for 1-2 weeks prior to the event.
Q. Is set up/ break down included in your price?
A. Yes,your given price will include set up and break down. We will meet with you prior to your event to make sure there are no surprises.
Q. How will music be chosen for our event?
A. We have an outstanding music selection that will keep the dance floor hopping. More goes into keeping a dance floor packed than just the songs that are played, including the order they are played in, the style, and the DJs involvement with the crowd. Many factors go in to choosing the music for your event. Obviously the type of event will change the type of music that will be played. Our Djs are experienced in keeping your event at the proper pace, but it can always be changed at your discretion. A wedding reception typically calls for dinner music before the real fun begins. Our Djs know how to do this. During our consultation we will go over several things including the type of music you want played. We'll of course need your list of special songs to be played. We recommend that you provide us with a list of songs that are "have to have's" and songs that are "nice to have's". You may also provide us with those songs that you absolutely do not want played. We are always happy to take song requests from your guests if you approve. If you are unsure of what music you want played, don't worry! We have a list of song suggestions! Let us take care of everything in between so you can enjoy! We are here for you!
Q. How loud do you play your music?
A. We keep our music at a volume that is appropriate for the circumstances, for example dinner or background music might be played at a lower volume than dance music. We want everyone to have a good time, we do not want anyone needing ear plugs. Our Djs strategically place the speakers to give a balanced sound through out the venue. Of course we are happy to adjust the volume at the clients request. How interactive are you DJs? We are here for the client! You let us know what type of involvement you want from us. One of the things we pride ourselves on is crowd interaction. While our DJs remain professional at all times we love to interact with the crowd. Our DJs will try to keep the crowd motivated, however if you are looking for conservative we can do that too.
Q. Can I meet the actual DJ before booking?
A. Absolutely, it is not required however, we recommend that you do especially when booking a wedding. Your consultation is absolutely free and we want you to take advantage of it so that there are no surprises.
Q. Is tipping expected from the DJ?
A. By no means is tipping mandatory or expected. We charge a professional rate for a professional service. If at the end of the night you feel the DJ has surpassed your expectations and you want to tip him, we would accept it as the utmost compliment. But you're under no obligation to do so.
Q. How far will you travel?
A. Most of our events are out of Desoto County and the surrounding Mid-South area. We are willing to travel for a fee of $1 per mile over 45 miles in addition to the cost of our services to cover our travel expenses.
Q. How far in advance should I book?
A. We have been blessed with a busy schedule, having said that we recommend booking as soon as possible. We get bookings up to a year in advance, especially during wedding and Christmas seasons. We have several DJs with several sets of equipment, but it is not unusual to have them all booked at the same time.
Q. Do you take a break? We do not interrupt our music for breaks.
A. The advantage of having a quality DJ system is that we can play music straight through if there is a need for the DJ to step away for a moment.
